Princess Cruises revealed more about their upcoming 3,600-guest Royal Princess this week, adding a water and light show, along with more top-deck features.
The water and light show will illuminate the night on the top deck of Royal Princess. The island area between the two pools will have synchronized lights and 85-water jets, shooting 33 feet into the sky. Think Vegas.
Also being added:
Sea Walk – this will extend 28 feet over the starboard side of the ship and will have a glass bottom to look down 160 feet into the ocean. Also adjacent will be the Sea Bar, a full service bar overlooking the waves.
Fresh Water Pools – Palm Trees and fresh water pools can be found on the top deck, along with live music and plenty of areas to relax.
Movies Under the Stars – Princess Cruises’ signature poolside movies but with a 30 percent larger screen, bringing the open-air movie experience to the sea.
Evening Enchantment – An outdoor evening dance party with live music, DJ and an open dance floor.
“We’re placing even more emphasis on our outdoor entertainment options with this new ship,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president. “With all of these exciting features on the top decks, passengers will truly enjoy their time under the sun – or stars.”
Royal Princess is set to debut June 2013.
