The latest edition of Behind the Scenes: Carnival Vista is out, and on this episode, host Peter Gonzalez takes viewers below deck. See what goes into keeping operations going on a massive “floating resort.”
Gonzalez interviews the ship’s captain, Rocco Lubrano, who discusses its stern design, and Chief Engineer Cesare Boldrini, who talks about the ship’s massive power grid. He also discusses the Vista’s desalination plant that processes sea water for everything from showers to water slides.
Carnival Vista will enter service in May from Trieste, Italy, and will sail her inaugural season in Europe. After that, she will reposition to New York for a pair of voyages, then move on to her permanent home in Miami in November.
