Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for a series of new 2027 cruises aboard Carnival Firenze, including three extended South America voyages and a range of Caribbean itineraries.
The new deployments come as the “Fun Italian Style” ship transitions from its West Coast base in Long Beach, California, to a new temporary homeport in Miami.
Rare South America Sailings Open for Booking

At the start of 2027, Carnival Firenze will operate three unique Carnival Journeys cruises designed to highlight culture-rich ports that are uncommon on the cruise line’s usual routes. These longer voyages include:
- 15-Day Long Beach to Santiago (San Antonio), Chile
Departs January 4, 2027, visiting Acapulco, Manta, Callao (Lima), and San Antonio, with an equator crossing. - 14-Day Santiago to Buenos Aires
Departs January 19, 2027, featuring scenic cruising through the Darwin Channel, Chilean Fjords, and Cape Horn, with stops in Ushuaia, Puerto Madryn, Montevideo, and ending in Buenos Aires. - 16-Day Buenos Aires to Miami
Departs February 2, 2027, including calls in Maceio and Rio de Janeiro during Brazil’s famous Carnival, a second equator crossing, potential eclipse viewing at sea, and visits to Grenada, Martinique, and St. Maarten.
Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said the South America itineraries “truly stand out even among our already impressive lineup of Carnival Journeys cruises.”
Miami-Based Caribbean Cruises Begin in February
Following its South America voyages, Carnival Firenze will begin sailing from PortMiami in February 2027. These cruises will run through May 8, 2027, and range from four to 13 days.
New itineraries include:
- 4-Day Bahamas Getaways
Featuring stops at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, and Celebration Key. - 6- and 7-Day Eastern and Western Caribbean Cruises
Visiting destinations such as Cozumel, Isla Tropical, Belize, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, San Juan, and St. Thomas. - 10- to 13-Day Southern Caribbean Journeys
Calling on ports like Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Croix, Grenada, Barbados, Antigua, and Martinique.
The deployments expand Carnival’s reach with a mix of shorter cruises and longer, port-rich itineraries, offering new opportunities to experience Carnival Firenze.
Originally designed for the Asian market, Costa Firenze was transferred from Costa Cruises in 2024, and rebranded under Carnival Cruise Line, keeping the Costa Funnel
