Princess Cruises has appointed former Carnival Cruise Director Mike Pack to the newly created role of national training and engagement manager, overseeing trade support strategy across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

According to media reports, will develop engagement strategies, deliver training programs to travel partners, and represent the cruise line at industry events.
13 Years of Carnival Leadership
Pack brings 13 years of experience from Carnival Cruise Line, where he progressed from sports director to assistant cruise director before becoming fleet cruise director in January 2022.
He held that leadership position as Carnival launched the Mardi Gras and oversaw fleet operation until stepping away in November 2024.
Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald described Pack as “a brilliant Cruise Director” who “was a mentor to many who are sitting in the Cruise Director chair now.”
Former passengers praised his dedication, calling him “the best” and crediting him with making their cruises memorable.
Bringing Expertise to Princess Cruises

“His experience and passion for the cruise industry make him a wonderful fit for this new role,” said Eithne Williamson, Princess Cruises UK and Europe vice-president.
“We know how important it is for our travel partners to feel supported and confident when selling Princess, and Mike’s appointment is a clear signal of our continued investment in the trade.”
Pack announced his departure from Carnival in November 2024 to pursue new opportunities and spend more time with his family in the UK.
“I’m delighted to be joining Princess Cruises at such an exciting time,” Pack said. “I’ve always believed in the power of great training and meaningful engagement, and I’m looking forward to working closely with our travel partners to help them feel inspired, informed, and ready to grow their Princess business.”
