Holland America Line has announced its 2027–2028 Asia sailing season aboard the ms Noordam, which will include new ports in Japan and extended overnight stays across several destinations.
The season runs from September 2027 to April 2028 and offers cruises ranging from 13 to 15 days.
New Ports in Japan
New ports in Japan introduced this season are Hitachinaka, Nagoya, and Maizuru. Maizuru also offers a new scenic cruising experience through its bay, highlighting verdant islands and calm waters.
Additional overnight stays are planned in Halong Bay, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, Osaka, and Shanghai, allowing guests to explore local culture.
Smaller Ship Means Smaller Ports
Noordam’s midsize allows visits to unique and smaller ports, such as Jeju in South Korea and Boracay in the Philippines, which are typically inaccessible to larger vessels.
The ship will call at ports across Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Guests can choose from 15 itineraries, with many departing from Tokyo, giving passengers a change to spend extra time in Japan’s capital before cruising.
Other embarkation points include Singapore, Hong Kong, and Seattle.
Key Itineraries
Featured itineraries feature the 14-day Circle Japan cruise visiting up to 10 Japanese ports, and the 14-day Southern Japan itinerary including a maiden call to Nagoya.
Onboard Noordam, guests will experience regional flavors through Holland America Line’s Destination Dining program, offering dishes like Japanese rockfish, Korean bibimbap, Thai mango sticky rice, and Filipino chicken adobo. Pop-up dining events such as Taste of Tamarind and Morimoto by Sea will also be available during Asia cruises.
