Live streamers David Ryan and Dave Willis got into a physical fight aboard Harmony of the Seas. They were in a group of several streamers who post content to Kick and other platforms. After the fight, both were reportedly detained by ship security and then booted from the ship when it docked at Roatan, Honduras.

Disagreement led to Fist Fight

The incident is said to have taken place in an open deck smoking area. The cruise departed a week ago and returned to Galveston, Texas at the weekend following additional calls at Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Several Others in the Group Also Reportedly Kicked Off the Ship

The group cruise was organized by Paul Denino, known as streamer Ice Poseidon. He said five other streamers in the group were later removed from the ship, although this hasn’t been confirmed by the cruise line.

A video of the altercation was posted online showing the two men arguing for some time before punches were thrown. They then tackled each other to the ground. The incident may have been the final straw for the cruise line. There had reportedly been complaints about the group filming other guests without permission in public areas and acting in an “intimidating” way.

Both Ryan and Willis individually posted videos from Roatan describing the aftermath of the incident, and both acknowledged the physical altercation took place.

Ryan said in a video he tried to de-escalate the problem to avoid getting thrown off the ship. “I didn’t want to get kicked [off]. I literally talked to security and said, ‘Hey, me and this guy can resolve it and it will be all good. Let us talk.'”

This type of incident is unfortunately not isolated. Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas recently saw a separate physical altercation.
