MSC Cruises Introduces New Upper Tier in Loyalty Program

MSC Cruises updated the benefits of its loyalty program and introduced a new tier. The Blue Diamond level is now the highest level passengers can aspire to.

What Perks Are Blue Diamond Members Entitled To?

The MSC Voyagers Club benefits chart highlights booking, pre-cruise, embarkation, and onboard privileges. This Loyalty Program includes a table with columns labeled Welcome, Classic, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Black tiers detailing exclusive discounts and special services.

Guests who qualify for the Voyagers Club’s highest tier get all the benefits of the lower four levels—Classic, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. This means they get access to members-only events, a free one-hour spa thermal session, late cabin checkouts, etc.

It also comes with exclusive perks:

  • Check-in any time with priority embarkation and luggage drop-off
  • Flexible dining schedules during the main restaurant’s service hours
  • Free Wi-Fi (one device per member)
  • Complimentary shuttle service in selected ports
  • A meet-and-greet session with the cruise captain or officer
  • Priority access to port tender boats

Like Diamond members, Blue Diamond guests are first in line for available cabin upgrades.

How To Reach Blue Diamond Status

Diamond memberships, formerly the highest tier, required passengers to earn 10,000 points. The new blue diamond level can be reached by collecting at least 25,000.

The company pointed out that only cruises hosted by MSC are eligible to receive points. Members are not allowed to transfer points from other loyalty programs, including the MSC Voyagers Club Status Match Program. This ensures that only MSC’s most loyal guests receive its exclusive rewards.

Cruisers who aren’t part of the Voyagers Club can sign up even if they haven’t booked any cruises with MSC. Membership grants them instant access to entry-level perks like discounts.

US residents who made their reservations through US booking systems are automatically enrolled in the program, allowing them to collect points as early as possible.

Membership Period Extended

In addition to the Blue Diamond tier, the cruise operator is extending the validity of Voyager Club memberships from three to five years. As long as members sail at least once every five years, their membership will remain active and they get to keep their points.

Participants can earn MSC Voyager Club points by booking cruises, availing of onboard amenities (like shore excursions and spa treatments), and making onboard purchases.
