New Disney Ship Will Have 3 Amusement Rides and the Longest Rollercoaster at Sea

Disney Cruise Line showed us Disney Adventure’s biggest attractions—three new rides, a line-up of captivating shows, seven neighborhoods, an extensive list of dining venues, and the longest rollercoaster at sea.

For the first time, DCL is introducing three new rides on its upper decks:

  • Ironcycle Test Run has become one of the most highly anticipated attractions aboard Disney Adventure. The 820-foot track is the longest at sea and will be suspended 30 feet from the upper decks.
  • Pym Quantum Racers puts passengers in the driver’s seats of modified Pym Tech mini-cars. Guests can zip around a life-sized toy set track while avoiding different obstacles.
  • Groot Galaxy Spin lets vacationers enjoy Groot’s groovy music from a Nova Corp Bass Jumper.

Seven Neighborhoods

Welcome to the Imagination Garden, an indoor space adorned with decorative wrought iron railings, lush topiary trees, and a cozy seating area with tables and chairs. A painted castle backdrop adds a touch of fantasy, while a central wizard statue completes this enchanting Disney-inspired scene.

The Singapore-based vessel will feature seven neighborhoods: Toy Story Place, Disney Imagination Garden, Town Square, San Fransokyo Street, Disney Discovery Reef, Wayfinder Bay, and Marvel Landing.

Here are some attractions you won’t want to miss:

  • The child-friendly Toy Story Place will be a waterpark with several whirlpools, a large family pool, interactive splash pads, and tall waterslides.
  • San Fransokyo Street will be home to Big Hero Arcade, where families can indulge in gaming, including a training simulator where groups of four will interact with a state-of-the-art gaming floor.
  • Disney Imagination Garden will have open-air amphitheater seating. With LED screens that are three decks high, it’s the perfect venue for shows like “Avengers Assemble!” and “Captain Jack Sparrow & the Siren Queen.” It will also host “Let’s Set Sail,” “Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party,” and “Baymax Super Exercise Expo”—interactive shows that combine music with dance parties and exercise.
  • Meanwhile, the Walt Disney Theater will offer two productions: the all-new musical “Remember” and the classic favorite “Disney Seas the Adventure.”

Dining Experiences

The 208,000-ton vessel will employ rotational dining. Guests will be assigned dining schedules that allow them to try three different meals.

The ship’s dining venues will include the maritime-inspired Navigator’s Club, the glamorous Hollywood Spotlight Club, the artwork-filled Animator’s Table, and more.

Stop by Pixar Market Restaurant and the Enchanted Summer Restaurant for buffet-style lunches and dinners.

Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s will provide more upscale dining options while Cosmic Kebabs, Mowgli’s Eatery, and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen will allow guests to dine and dash with their quick-service formats.
