It’s about a little over a month since Carnival Destiny entered a shipyard in Italy to undergo a $155-million renovation, transforming her to Carnival Sunshine. Fast forward to April, things are really starting to take shape.

The drydock process includes over 3,000 employees working round-the-clock.

This week’s video features a lot of the public areas that are starting to take shape, like the Sunshine Atrium, Serenity, Ocean Plaza and RedFrog Rum Bar.

Carnival Sunshine will enter service on May 5, sailing a series of 9- and twelve-night voyages from either Barcelona or Venice. After the summer in the Med., Carnival Sunshine will sail year-round from New Orleans, offering seven-night Caribbean sailings.
