A viral TikTok video has captured a scary moment when a cruise passenger became trapped inside a transparent water slide more than 100 feet above the roaring ocean, desperately trying to wiggle to safety.
Passenger Stuck in Transparent Tube
The 13-second video shows a woman trapped inside what appears to be Norwegian Cruise Line’s Ocean Loops slide, attempting to scoot forward with her arms fully extended. Other passengers who noticed her predicament began screaming, with one bystander heard saying, “Oh my God, she’s literally stuck.”
The vessel closely resembles Norwegian Bliss, which was sailing a seven-day Alaska cruise off Victoria, British Columbia, on September 19. The ship features the Ocean Loops, a double-looped water slide that plunges riders through loops jutting 11 feet off the ship and suspended 159 feet over the water.

The viral TikTok has amassed over 7 million views and nearly 250,000 likes, with viewers expressing panic over the scary situation.
“Anyone else having a panic attack watching this?” one commenter wrote. Another shared: “Stuck in a waterslide over actual ocean water would send me into a psychosis.”
“TikTok has definitely taught me to NEVER get in a cruise water slide,” wrote another user, while someone else added, “I know she aint NEVER going in one these again.”
Not the First Ocean Loops Incident
This isn’t the first time a passenger has allegedly become trapped in Norwegian’s Ocean Loops slide.
In 2022, another video showed a different female passenger appearing to become stuck inside the slide. However, the poster of that video said the woman was freed “so quickly” that “by the time I walked that way, she was out and ready to do the slide again.”
One user alleged that the tube is fitted with an emergency hatch that staff can open if a rider gets stuck, though it’s unclear if the woman in the current viral video was rescued using this method.
Slide Safety Requirements
Norwegian’s Ocean Loops has specific safety requirements, including a minimum height of 40 inches and weight between 120 and 300 pounds.
The attraction uses a trap door system that drops adrenaline junkies into the looped ride before releasing them into an onboard pool.
