Carnival Cruise Line Fixes Website Error on CHEERS! Zero-Proof Package

Carnival Cruise Line has corrected a website error related to its newly launched CHEERS! Zero-Proof non-alcoholic beverage package after it mistakenly included premium coffees and teas for Australia-based cruises.

A variety of drinks, including selections from the CHEERS! Zero Proof non-alcoholic drink package, are arranged on a glass table in a colorful, modern Carnival lounge with curved chairs and hanging lights.

In an email dated September 10, Carnival notified affected guests that the website briefly listed those specialty items as part of the package when it went live on September 5. The error has since been fixed.

“You were part of a small group of guests who booked the package shortly after it went live,” the cruise line wrote. “Unfortunately, for a brief period, the website contained an error, incorrectly listing premium coffee and teas as part of the package.”

The new CHEERS! Zero-Proof package includes a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages such as sodas, mocktails, energy drinks, bottled water, and juices. However, premium coffees and teas are not included on Australian sailings — they remain available à la carte or as part of the original CHEERS! alcoholic beverage package.

Carnival clarified that the mistake only impacted some early bookers in Australia. The package description when accessed from the United States still lists premium coffees and teas as included, suggesting different regional terms may apply.

Guests who no longer want the package can request a refund by visiting the Cruise Manager tab online and editing their order. Carnival says this must be done before 10 p.m. EST the night before embarkation.

Some guests expressed frustration with the mix-up. A Carnival Australia guest told Cruise Radio’s tip line, “If I knew coffee wasn’t included, I wouldn’t have booked it. I only drink mocktails and cappuccinos — now I’m paying extra for both.”

The CHEERS! Zero-Proof package is priced at $29.99 per person, per day.
