Carnival Rolls Out New Multi-Device Wi-Fi Plan

Gone are the days when you had to choose one gadget before a Carnival cruise that would remain connected to the outside world.

Carnival Cruise Line’s new Multi-Device Premium Wi-Fi Plan lets passengers connect up to four devices with a single subscription.

Since these gadgets can be owned by different guests, up to four people can share the same package. Or, if you’re traveling solo, you can use your four slots by connecting your smartphone, laptop, tablet, and other gadgets to the vessel’s network.

Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald announced the new offer on Facebook by writing, “Last week I had quite a few people asking me about the multi-device program for the internet, which allows you to use multiple devices when you purchase the premium internet.”

He added, “We had successfully tested this on a few ships, but now it is available across the fleet and can be pre-purchased only and not from onboard.”

Comparing Carnival’s Wi-Fi Plan Prices

The multi-device plan can be purchased for $75 per day. It advertises itself three times faster than the $19.55 per person per day Value Plan. That’s $18.75 per gadget or person, cheaper than Carnival’s existing packages except the Social Plan.

The Social Wi-Fi Plan is still cheaper per device at $15.30 per day but has several limitations. You can only visit major social networking websites and apps like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. You can’t stream content or conduct audio-video calls.

Experience seamless connectivity with our Multi-Device Premium Wi-Fi Plan for just $75.00 per day, perfect for up to 4 devices. Imagine the freedom this Internet Package offers as you stay connected globally—ideal for any digital carnival of more users!

Though more expensive, the Multi-Device Premium Wi-Fi Plan has no bandwidth or site limitations. You can visit any website, use any app, stream videos, and hold audio-video calls as long as there’s coverage.

Like the other offers, Premium Wi-Fi can only be bought before your sailing date, specifically until 11:59 p.m. on the day before embarkation.

Royal Caribbean offers a similar multi-device internet plan called “Surf + Stream,” which allows for streaming and video calls. Still, it is often priced higher daily, sometimes exceeding $100 per day for multiple devices.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Premium Wi-Fi” offers high-speed internet, but like Carnival, their multi-device options are typically more expensive, starting at around $30 per device per day.

The introduction of the new internet service comes after the cruise line’s fleetwide implementation of Starlink last May.

Last December, Carnival increased the price of its wifi up to 20 percent on some plans.
