Royal Caribbean Dry Docks Postponed

Two Royal Caribbean ships have postponed dry docks because of labor shortages in Europe.

A report filed by Cruise Critic said that both Allure of the Seas and Explore of the Seas were scheduled for the Royal Amplification outfits, with Allure’s being 58 days, but they have now been shelved.

“Both amplifications have been put on hold at this time. With global developments rapidly evolving, we are reviewing all options to bring Explorer and Allure into dry dock this year and determining the extent of the enhancements we can make.”

Allure was scheduled for its $165 million dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, while Explorer was heading to Brest, France. Freedom of the Seas underwent its amplification just before the industry shutdown.
