The cruise line, already a global partner of Formula One, will now have its branding featured on Alpine’s 2025 race car, the A525, unveiled on February 18 at the F175 Launch in London.

The agreement builds on MSC Cruises’ growing presence in motorsports, which includes title sponsorship of the Austrian Grand Prix, United States Grand Prix, and São Paulo Grand Prix in 2025. Alpine’s leadership welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing shared values of innovation, precision, and teamwork between the two industries.

“Formula 1 continues to grow in popularity around the world, and as a global partner, we have achieved exceptional results,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Cruises. “It is only natural for us to further develop our presence at world-class races by joining forces with a team.”

Alpine, a subsidiary of the Renault Group, has been seeking to expand its commercial partnerships amid efforts to improve its competitive standing in Formula One.

The team finished sixth in the 2024 Constructors’ Championship and has undergone leadership changes to enhance performance. Former team principal Flavio Briatore, now serving as an executive advisor, highlighted the partnership’s potential benefits.

“This collaboration brings together two dynamic industries, both driven by a passion for innovation, performance, and excellence,” Briatore said. “We look forward to working together on many exciting projects throughout the F1 season and beyond.”

MSC Cruises, one of the world’s largest cruise lines, has positioned itself as a leader in sustainability. The company has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with investments in LNG-powered ships, renewable energy, and fuel-efficient technologies.

The partnership strengthens MSC Cruises’ marketing reach within the high-profile world of Formula One while reinforcing its brand identity as a technologically advanced and forward-thinking company.
