MSC Cruises Joins 2025 Brad Pitt Film

MSC Cruises will be featured in the upcoming Formula 1 movie “F1,” starring Brad Pitt, produced by Apple Original Films and Warner Brothers.

The film follows the story of Sonny Hayes (Pitt), a former Formula 1 driver looking to make a comeback by joining the fictitious APXGP team. Jerry Bruckheimer from the “CSI” TV series and legendary F1 race driver Lewis Hamilton are the producers, while Joseph Kosinski is the director. Its cast includes Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men”), Tobias Menzies (“Rome”), and Damson Idris (“Snowfall”). Some of its scenes were filmed during the actual Grand Prix weekends.

Due to the cruise line’s partnership with Formula 1, the MSC Cruises logo will be seen in the movie, specifically the APXGP race car, team kit (the uniforms and equipment used by the team), and race track.

It will be released in North American theaters and IMAX on June 27, 2025, and globally on June 25, 2025.

MSC’s Partnership With F1

MSC Cruises established a partnership with F1 in 2022, which will run until the end of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

During the November 2023 Grand Prix, the 6,300-passenger MSC Virtuosa docked at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal. It served as a floating hotel for attendees and offered bundled packages that included accommodations, race tickets, themed events, and transfers to the Yas Marina Circuit.

This year, MSC is offering two special cruises that coincide with the November 29 to December 1 Qatar Grand Prix.

The seven-night cruises onboard MSC Euribia will leave from Abu Dhabi on November 27 and Dubai on November 30. Guests get convenient transfers to the Lusail International Circuit, panoramic seats, and entry into the Fan Zone while the vessel is docked in Qatar.

The Euribia is MSC’s newest cruise ship after debuting in June 2023. It has a reimagined Carousel Lounge, performances from the Big Band at Sea, and a long list of live shows.
