MSC Cruises is bringing a taste of the Lone Star State to sea when MSC Seascape begins sailing from Galveston in November, debuting an expanded menu of Texas and Southern-inspired dishes designed specifically for regional guests.
Texas BBQ Meets Mediterranean Flair

Starting November 9, 2025, MSC Seascape will offer 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries every Sunday from Galveston, featuring everything from Texas-style prime rib and Cajun-spiced pork loin to buttermilk pie and spicy margaritas. The menu additions reflect MSC’s commitment to blending European elegance with American comfort food.
“As we welcome even more guests from Texas and the South on cruises from Galveston, we’re leaning into the region’s uniquely American cuisine,” said Josef Jungwirth, Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations for MSC Cruises U.S. “Our team has traveled the state to gather inspiration for what guests will find onboard.”
Breakfast to Dinner: Texas All Day
The Marketplace Buffet will serve up Southern favorites throughout the day, including chicken and waffles with maple-hot sauce drizzle for breakfast, and BBQ baked beans and roasted Texas-style prime rib for lunch and dinner. Guests can also enjoy Tex-Mex options at the omelet station and expanded Indian cuisine selections.
In the Main Dining Room, rotating regional menus will feature Texas smoked beef brisket with jalapeño BBQ sauce, buttermilk tart, and vegan blackberry cobbler alongside Italian and Caribbean-inspired nights.
Bourbon, Bacon, and Macallan
Two new tasting experiences in the Wine Cellar will showcase American spirits. The MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience pairs bold bourbons with savory bacon, while the MSC Macallan Experience highlights the heritage of the iconic whisky brand.
Bars and lounges will feature Texas-sized additions including spicy Mexican margaritas, Backyard Punch, local beers, and souvenir boot cups for an authentic Texas touch.
Specialty Dining With a Texas Twist
Five specialty dining venues round out the culinary experience, with complimentary breakfast at HOLA! Tacos & Cantina featuring huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, and chilaquiles. Butcher’s Cut will offer traditional breakfast items including steak and eggs and western omelets.
MSC Seascape joins the growing roster of cruise ships sailing from Texas, offering Gulf Coast passengers a European-style cruise experience with Southern flavor.
