The ship departed from Lisbon, Portugal, and is heading to Southampton, England, with over 2,000 guests aboard.

Its highly anticipated debut showcases NCL’s first Prima Plus Class vessel, a ship based on the award-winning Prima Class design.

The inaugural voyage will culminate in Miami on April 13, where Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet will officially christen the 3,571-passenger vessel.

Following Aqua’s European debut, the ship will embark on a transatlantic voyage to the United States before beginning a series of Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda itineraries from Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York City.

These voyages, which will continue through March 2027, are designed to cater to diverse travelers.

“This is a milestone moment for Norwegian Cruise Line as we set sail aboard Norwegian Aqua, a ship designed to offer our guests MORE—more wide-open space, more thrills, more culinary experiences, and more immersive entertainment,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.
