Scarlet Lady Returns to the Sea Following Dry Dock Makeover [PHOTOS]

Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady has completed a two-week dry dock at the Fincantieri shipyard, unveiling upgraded accommodations, dining options, and amenities to enhance the guest experience.

A large cruise ship, the Scarlet Lady, is docked at night in a shipyard, illuminated by bright lights. The vessel gleams red and white, hinting at recent upgrades during its dry dock.

Even though the ship is approaching five years old, the refurbishment, held Nov. 14-28, 2024, is part of the cruise line’s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet.

The outdoor seating area on the Scarlet Lady's deck features round tables and red chairs under large white canopies. Amid boxes and construction materials for dry dock upgrades, a port, cranes, and mountains are visible in the background under a clear blue sky as the ship prepares to return to service.

Among the upgrades is the introduction of 24 new “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters on Deck 11. Each 352-square-foot suite includes European king beds, Peek-a-Boo showers, record players, and Virgin’s iconic Yellow Leaf hammocks, providing a luxurious haven for discerning travelers.
