Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of three cruise ship guests who failed to return to their ship after a shore visit in the British Virgin Islands earlier this month.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and the BVI Department of Immigration seek information from the public to locate the three Colombian nationals.
Public Advisory Issued in BVI
Earlier this week, Jean Carlo Ospina Cano, Pamela Mesa Escobar, and Yesica Yojana Marin Ramirez went ashore at Tortola but didn’t return to the Norwegian Sky cruise ship. The ship eventually departed and is currently on its next cruise.
A guest sailing on Sky during the event sent a tip line inquiry, leading us to contact NCL for validation.
A spokesperson from NCL told Cruise Radio: “On the afternoon of March 10, 2024, while docked in Road Town (Tortola), British Virgin Islands, three guests traveling together did not return to the ship by the mandatory all-aboard time. Security then visited the guests’ stateroom and found no personal belongings. Local authorities were immediately notified and have taken over the investigation to locate the guests. The safety and security of our guests is our top priority, and we are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. We encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist the local authorities.” |
The Norwegian Sky is sailing a series of Caribbean cruises out of La Romana, Dominican Republic. The three missing guests were on a 14-night sailing trip called to numerous ports, including Aruba, Curacao, Barbados, and St. Kitts.
The British Virgin Islands is a safe destination with a relatively low crime rate.
