The ship docked at the Port of Québec on October 3, 2025, bringing an adults-only cruise experience to the historic St. Lawrence destination.

Built by Fincantieri in Italy, Brilliant Lady is the fourth ship in Virgin Voyages’ fleet, measuring 278 meters long and 38 meters wide. It accommodates up to 2,770 guests and 1,160 crew members over 17 decks.

The ship features a boutique hotel design and a kid-free environment, with more than 20 dining venues, including six signature restaurants, high-tech cabins with hammocks, and diverse entertainment.

This maiden call highlights Québec City’s increasing appeal in the international cruise market, expanding the port’s visitor demographic to a younger and more diverse crowd.

Olga Farman, CEO of the Port of Quebec, noted the ship’s arrival as a major event that shows off the city’s attractiveness to leading cruise lines. Natasha Salzedo, Virgin Voyages’ Director of Destinations, spoke highly of Québec City’s charm, culture, and culinary scene as key attractions for Virgin Voyages’ guests.

Brilliant Lady also aligns with the Port of Québec’s commitment to sustainability. The ship eliminates unnecessary single-use plastics and incorporates advanced wastewater treatment, food waste reduction, energy efficiency technologies, and shore power capabilities to reduce emissions while docked.

A series of events marked the ship’s arrival, including a plaque exchange ceremony, ship tours for media and partners, musical welcomes featuring local products for guests, and a public send-off at dusk with illuminated grain silos.

The vessel set sail for Miami to kick off it’s Florida inaugural cruise.
