Carnival Cruise Line has opened reservations for an expanded 2027/28 Florida deployment that moves the Italian-inspired Carnival Venezia to Miami while adding more Caribbean options from Port Canaveral.
The change affects New York area cruisers who sail Carnival out of Manhattan.
Carnival Venezia Gets a New Home

Starting May 2027, Carnival Venezia will relocate from Port Canaveral to Miami, sailing a mix of six- and eight-day Caribbean itineraries through April 2028. The move comes after seasonal cruises from Port Canaveral.
“Carnival Venezia moving to Miami creates even more choice for our guests with longer itineraries to the most popular Caribbean destinations and adds a new flavor of fun with our ‘Italian Style’ experiences,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
The 4,000-passenger ship will offer six-day Western Caribbean voyages featuring stops at Carnival’s new exclusive destination, Celebration Key, plus ports like Ocho Rios or Montego Bay in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove.
Eight-day cruises visit marquee destinations including Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Amber Cove.
What Makes Venezia Different
Carnival Venezia stands out as the first ship to bring “Fun Italian Style” to the fleet, blending classic Carnival experiences with Italian-inspired design.
Unique offerings include the specialty restaurant Il Viaggio and bars such as the Amari Bar and Frizzante Bar.
The ship also features Carnival favorites like Bonsai Sushi and Teppanyaki, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Cloud 9 Spa, WaterWorks water park, and mini golf.
More Options from Magic and Vista
Carnival Magic will continue homeporting in Miami with expanded six- and eight-day cruises across the Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean.
Itineraries include visits to Celebration Key, Amber Cove, RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and St. Croix, with Southern Caribbean voyages calling at Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.
Meanwhile, Carnival Vista expands its year-round Port Canaveral program with week-long sailings to The Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean, and Western Caribbean. Destinations include Celebration Key, RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay, Isla Tropicale, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, San Juan, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas.
