Disney Treasure is Crossing the Atlantic for Its Florida Debut

The excitement builds as Disney Treasure sets sail across the Atlantic, closing in on its much-anticipated Florida debut on December 21.

Following sea trials, a journey through Germany’s Ems River, and a stop in Eemshaven, Netherlands, this Wish-class ship is nearly ready to welcome guests aboard.

The milestone transatlantic voyage to Port Canaveral, Florida, spans more than 4,500 miles and will take about two weeks to complete.

Throughout the crossing, Disney Treasure will undergo final preparations for its inaugural voyage, with Funchal, Portugal, as the first port of call.

Officially Part of the Disney Cruise Line Fleet

The Disney Treasure’s delivery ceremony took place last week, officially making it the sixth member of the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) fleet.

Its maiden voyage in December will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise, followed by more weeklong itineraries throughout the Caribbean.

What Sets Disney Treasure Apart from Sister Ship Disney Wish

Like its sister ship Disney Wish, the 4,000-passenger Disney Treasure will feature a similar layout with splash zones, pools, theaters, salons, spas, and kid-friendly spaces such as the Oceaneer’s Club, Edge, Vibe, and It’s a Small World Nursery. It will even include several of the same restaurants.

However, the adventure-themed vessel is said to have a more mysterious ambiance, combining rich gold, turquoise, and blue hues.

Accommodations, Entertainment, Food, and Beverages

Treasure will have 1,256 rooms inspired by Disney classics, such as Aladdin, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Encanto, Up, Pocahontas, The Jungle Book, and Luca.

One of the premium accommodations onboard is the futuristic Tomorrow Tower Suite, inspired by EPCOT. This nearly 2,000-square-foot suite features a two-story window offering panoramic views, a private elevator, a kitchen, and dedicated dining and play areas.

Guests of all ages can look forward to theatrical shows, including the first live production of Moana, Beauty and the Beast, and the classic Disney Seas Adventure.

Dining and beverage options include the Aristocats-inspired The Scat Lounge, Marvel Celebration of Heroes, Mexican restaurant Plaza de Coco, and Jumbeaux’s Sweets inspired by Zootopia, offering creative combinations of food and family-friendly entertainment.

Following Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny in 2025, another vessel is underway in collaboration with Oriental Land Company, the owner of Tokyo Disney Resort.

Additionally, four new vessels, announced in August, will launch between 2027 and 2031. These ships will double the DCL fleet in under ten years.
