Holland America Line is elevating its legendary Grand Voyages in 2026 by incorporating celebrity chefs and culinary experts into select segments, offering exclusive dining experiences for passengers on these epic journeys.
Star-Studded Culinary Lineup

The cruise line has announced that Iron Chef star Masaharu Morimoto, acclaimed Seattle restaurateur Ethan Stowell, master tea blender Steve Schwartz, and renowned chocolatier Jacques Torres will join portions of the two Grand Voyages departing January 4, 2026.
Chef Morimoto will sail the Sydney to Yokohama segment of the 133-day Grand World Voyage aboard Volendam, bringing his signature fusion of Western and Japanese cuisine while cruising through his native Japan.
Meanwhile, Chef Stowell will showcase Pacific Northwest flavors during the Seattle portion of the voyage.
Torres, known as “Mr. Chocolate” and co-host of Netflix’s “Nailed It,” will join part of the 93-day Grand Australia and New Zealand Voyage aboard Zaandam. Art of Tea founder Steve Schwartz will offer exclusive tea experiences during the Singapore to Yokohama segment.
Special Chocolate Teatime When Ships Meet
This comes full circle on March 7 when both ships overnight in Sydney simultaneously. Torres will host a special “Chocolate Teatime” where passengers from both Grand Voyages can meet and share travel stories while enjoying decadent chocolate creations.
Exclusive Culinary Programming
Passengers will enjoy unprecedented access to these culinary legends through live cooking demonstrations, intimate coffee chats, and reservation-only dinners at Pinnacle Grill featuring curated menus. Schwartz will conduct tea tastings and exclusive High Tea experiences.
“Our Grand Voyages are already among the most remarkable travel experiences in the world, and the addition of our Culinary Ambassadors elevates them to a new level,” said Michael Smith, Holland America’s senior vice president of guest experience and product development.
Flexible Segment Options
For passengers with limited time, Holland America offers 10 segments ranging from 14 to 72 days for the Grand World Voyage, as well as two segments of 33 or 60 days for the Grand Australia voyage. This allows passengers to experience a taste of the Grand Voyage lifestyle on a shorter timeline.
The Grand World Voyage sails round-trip from Fort Lauderdale aboard Volendam, while the Grand Australia voyage departs round-trip from San Diego aboard Zaandam. Both ships will also feature themed celebrations, including Great Gatsby Night, Casino Royale, and traditional holiday festivities throughout their journeys.
Company Executives Join Pacific Coast Segment
During the Seattle to San Diego portion, Holland America executives will board to connect with guests and reveal the 2028 Grand World Voyage itinerary, continuing the company’s tradition of speaking directly with Grand Voyage passengers.
Holland America has not announced pricing for the culinary segments or whether they will carry additional fees beyond the regular cruise fare.
