A chaotic late-night fight broke out aboard Carnival cruise ship early Monday morning, with video capturing passengers clashing in the ship’s lido deck buffet area.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. during the final night of the ship’s voyage back to Miami.
According to guests and social media footage, the fight involved approximately 20 individuals and took place in the Lido Marketplace, where late-night snacks were being served.

Some passengers claimed the dispute began over chicken tenders in the buffet line, while others suggested tensions had been building throughout the final day of the cruise.
Footage posted by passenger and content creator Mike Terra shows multiple individuals shouting, throwing punches, and tackling each other. At one point, a woman can be heard yelling, “Where the *** is security?” as a security officer calls for backup and exits the scene.
Terra told the New York Post, “We weren’t close enough to know why [the fight] really started, we just knew they were in line for food.” He described the incident as “isolated” but said it was his first time witnessing such behavior in years of cruising.
Carnival’s Code of Conduct
The ship had departed Miami on Thursday and visited two ports in the Bahamas before returning to Florida on Monday. Carnival Cruise Line has not yet issued a public statement about the incident.
Carnival’s Code of Conduct includes a strict zero-tolerance policy toward fighting, with potential consequences including a $500 fine, confinement to staterooms or the ship’s holding area, and a lifetime ban.
Whether any disciplinary actions were taken has not been confirmed.
This marks the second major brawl involving Carnival passengers this month. On August 7, a separate altercation occurred outside the Long Beach cruise terminal while Carnival Firenze was in port. Earlier this month Royal Caribbean two dozen people fighting in its Lagoon Pool at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
