MSC Announces First Super Bowl Commercial, Teases Surprise Celebrities

MSC Cruises is making its mark on the Super Bowl with its first “Big Game” ad. The 60-second spot will highlight the cruise line’s focus on the American market while featuring two soon-to-be-revealed celebrities.

The upcoming TV commercial will showcase the Swiss-Italian company’s newest ships, its growing list of home ports in the region, the MSC Yacht Club’s premium offerings, and its private destination in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

It was produced by Highdive, a multi-awarded Chicago-based agency that has worked with Lay’s, Jeep, and the National Hockey League.

Suzanne Salas, MSC Cruises USA’s EVP for Marketing, eCommerce & Sales, declared, “We offer the experience of a lifetime, seamlessly blending European style with American comfort.”

“The Big Game provides an unmatched platform to showcase our first campaign and first ship designed specifically for North American guests,” she added, referring to their newest vessel MSC World America.

Along with its Super Bowl debut, MSC teased that two celebrity guests will join the commercial and an MSC World America sailing.

Entering service on April 9, 2025, the World-class ship will begin its first cruising season with seven-day voyages from PortMiami to the Caribbean, featuring visits to Ocean Cay. The event also represents the opening of the company’s new cruise terminal in Florida.

MSC’s largest North American ship is home to 19 dining venues, 18 lounges and bars, a new outdoor venue for families called The Harbor, and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the Caribbean.

Guests can also look forward to World Promenade, a section of the vessel that combines shopping and dining with beautiful ocean views and one of the longest dry slides at sea. Meanwhile, World Galleria is a three-story area with shops, restaurants, and bars.

Later this year, the cruise operator says it will offer cruises from Galveston, Texas for the first time. It also plans to offer trips to Alaska by summer 2026.
