New Disney Cruise Ship Will Debut Spectacular Dining and Entertainment for Passengers

We’re getting an early glimpse of Disney Destiny’s new amenities. The lineup onboard Disney Cruise Line’s (DCL) upcoming ship includes a new dining venue, dessert shop, cafes, and staterooms that celebrate Disney’s greatest heroes and villains.

DCL Senior Vice President and Senior Manager Sharon Siskie summed up the vessel’s newest offerings, “For the Disney Destiny, we will introduce brand-new cruise experiences inspired by the legends and legacies of some of Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains.”

Disney Destiny, which debuts in late 2025, will feature these attractions:

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King

“The Lion King”-inspired Pride Lands promises a “feast for the senses” as it serves meals against the backdrop of an African savannah and the 1994 production’s unforgettable music. Nature and animals will be brought to life with special effects, lighting, and the sound of African drums.

Diners can revisit nostalgic songs like “Hakuna Matata,” “Circle of Life,” and “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King.”

Edna Á La Mode Sweets

End your meal on a sweet note with Edna Á La Mode Sweets, a dessert shop inspired by the eccentric but lovable Edna Mode from “The Incredibles.” Follow her story as she babysits Jack-Jack, the superhero family’s newest addition. Guests can dine on candies, cookies, ice cream, handmade gelato, and specialty treats while being thoroughly entertained.

Café Megara and Café Merida

Megara from “Hercules” and Merida from “Brave” are two of Disney’s greatest heroines. Their cafes are located a short distance from the Grand Hall, giving passengers a chance to sample tea, coffee, snacks, and specialty beverages in a casual setting.

Café Megara’s distinctive interiors will feature lightning bolts, clouds from Mount Olympus, Pegasus, and vases with the Greek Muses.

Meanwhile, Café Merida will be decorated with Scottish aesthetics. Keep an eye out for the tapestry and the will-o’-the-wisps from the animated film.

Hero-Themed Staterooms

Family-friendly staterooms inspired by Disney heroes await guests. Every room will have custom artwork. Staterooms will be comfortable, functional, and spacious, with split bathrooms and connecting doors for additional convenience.

Concierge guests can expect exceptional service and exclusive access to premium amenities like the private sun deck and concierge lounge. Concierge staterooms and suites will be inspired by “Fantasia” while the interiors of seven ocean-view rooms will be based on “The Incredibles.”

DCL announced the LNG cruise ship’s heroes and villains theme last March after its keel-laying ceremony in Germany. Destiny is part of a multi-year fleet expansion plan that includes Disney Treasure, Disney Wish, and Disney Adventure.
