Though only a few details have been revealed, the cruise line has shared that the upcoming Perfect Day Mexico will be sustainable, modern, and filled with exciting amenities.

These include a thrilling waterpark, breathtaking beaches and pools, and a wide selection of bars and restaurants.

According to the cruise line, Perfect Day Mexico will be ready for guests by 2026.

The new development will give vacationers another cruise destination to look forward to in addition to the first Perfect Day at CocoCay, which opened in 2019.

Royal Caribbean has promised to develop the area in partnership with the local government while “energizing communities and accelerating innovation.”

Quintana Roo, Mexico’s State Governor Maria Lezama welcomed the proposal.

❝ …My administration is looking forward to working very closely with the company to ensure a sustainable destination that brings shared prosperity to the region and that our local communities are part of this historic investment.❞

❝I am sure that guests will be marveled by the beauties that southern Quintana Roo has to offer but most importantly, the kindness of our people❞ – she added.

A Growing List of Exclusive Destinations

Royal Caribbean’s list of upcoming destinations also includes Royal Paradise in the Bahamas and Royal Beach Club Cozumel, another project in Mexico.

The Bahamian vacation spot will open in 2025, and the Cozumel resort will be ready by 2026. The company also has a third private resort in Labadee, Haiti.

These island destinations are important to the cruise line’s overall strategy. Perfect Day CocoCay, which precedes Perfect Day Mexico, hosted 2.5 million visitors in 2023.

Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean International’s President and CEO, mentioned how these places are a major attraction for cruise passengers.

“Destinations are a big part of why families and adventurers vacation with Royal Caribbean,” he commented. “And in collaboration with Mexico’s state of Quintana Roo, we are unlocking new and unparalleled ways to make memories in a destination known and loved for its natural beauty, warm culture and prime location,” Bayley reiterated.
