This November, Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, Celebrity Ascent, will wow guests with chef-curated dishes, redesigned dining areas, a new restaurant, locally sourced ingredients, whiskey tasting, and a bit of technology thrown into the mix.
Le Voyage by Chef Daniel Boulud
The Miami-based cruise operator recently unveiled the dining experiences passengers can look forward to aboard Ascent. The headliner is, of course, Le Voyage, the new restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud. Offering an international menu derived from Boulud’s personal travels, cruisers can avail of a multi-course tasting dinner with appropriate wine pairings.
Fresh Plant-based Options at Eden
Eden, on the other hand, offers a seven-course plant-based menu that features fresh, seasonal ingredients straight from their places of origin. You can sample dishes like dry rose petals, masala curry, ajoblanco panna cotta, and roasted and glazed celeriac steak.
Fine Cut Steakhouse
There are also options for diners who enjoy a good old-fashioned steak. For them, the Fine Cut Steakhouse offers comforting familIarity with classic favorites like grass-fed lamb chops.
Edge Series Dining Options
Meanwhile, the four main dining restaurants Edge Series ships have become associated with will also be onboard. This includes modern American food at a redesigned Cosmopolitan, contemporary French cuisine at Normandie, Mediterranean flavors at Cyprus, and Italian-inspired Tuscan. Combined, you’ll have more than 84 menu options to choose from.
Le Petit Chef for Young Children
Families with young children will enjoy the Celebrity Cruise innovation, Le Petit Chef, available in Le Grand Bistro. Before introducing each dish in its four-course menu, a tiny animated chef will give an entertaining background before it is presented in front of diners. There’s even a fairytale story for good measure.
Exclusive Whiskey for Ascent Passengers
Whiskey lovers will undoubtedly enjoy Craft Social, where exclusively crafted whiskeys from hand-selected barrels will be served. Aside from previous partnerships with Macallan and Jack Daniel’s, Ascent will feature drinks from WhistlePig Whiskey.
As the fourth vessel in the Edge series after the Edge, Apex, and Beyond, Ascent leaves no stone unturned by appealing to wide and diverse audiences. For foodies who want to be the first to experience its revitalized dining amenities, Celebrity Cruises is offering Taste of Luxury preview sailings in November and December 2023.
