Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is expanding its entertainment offerings. Four original productions will soon debut on nine ships through September 2025.
The new shows—Red, White, & British; Bring Back the 90s; ICONS: The Bands; and Ignite the Night—combine music, dance, and high-energy performances onboard select vessels.

Known for delivering Broadway-caliber productions at sea, NCL’s latest lineup aims to enhance its reputation by incorporating audience favorites with fresh creative elements. The shows will be staged aboard Norwegian Breakaway, Encore, Epic, Escape, Gem, Getaway, Jewel, Joy, and Prima.
Bryan A. White, NCL’s Vice President of Entertainment Production, emphasized the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality performances. “We’re excited to further enhance our guests’ cruising experience by introducing even more exclusive original productions and offering a wider range of entertainment options across our fleet,” White said.
“These innovative shows, exclusively available onboard our ships, reflect our commitment to delivering unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences that elevate every aspect of our guests’ journey with NCL.”
What’s In Store?
The new productions cater to a variety of musical tastes and generational preferences:
Red, White, & British pays tribute to British music legends, featuring hits from artists like Queen and David Bowie. Developed in collaboration with Burn the Floor, the show debuts on Norwegian Breakaway on March 14, 2025, before expanding to Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Prima later in the year.
Bring Back the 90s is a nostalgic musical journey through the decade’s biggest hits, from Alanis Morissette to Destiny’s Child. Directed by Scott Weinstein, the show premieres on Norwegian Getaway on March 2, 2025, and debuts on Norwegian Joy during its Alaska sailings in July.
ICONS: The Bands is an homage to legendary rock bands, showcasing powerful anthems performed by the cast of Choir of Man. The show will become available on Norwegian Encore’s Panama Canal cruise on March 30, 2025, before arriving on Norwegian Escape in May.
Ignite the Night is choreographed by Dancing with the Stars alum Britt Stewart. This high-energy production will blend music, dance, and fashion, creating a red carpet-inspired spectacle. It will premiere on Norwegian Jewel on March 30, 2025, followed by a run on Norwegian Gem in September.
In addition to these headline productions, NCL plans to introduce spontaneous pop-up performances through “Mini Moments of More” across its ships. Guests may soon find flash mobs, live music, and surprise acts in vessels’ dining rooms, atriums, and poolside areas.
Last April, Holland America Line introduced four new musical shows and region-specific entertainment, offering guests a fresh and dynamic experience tailored to their voyage.
With exciting new productions and immersive experiences, cruise lines continue to raise the bar for onboard entertainment.
