First Blake Shelton, then Lynyrd Skynyrd, and now add Rascal Flatts to Norwegian Cruise Line’s musical line up for 2012.

The cruise line has country music group Rascal Flatts performing on a sailing on Norwegian Spirit’s 7-night Western Caribbean sailing out of New Orleans on February 26, 2012. The actual concert will take place when the ship’s docked in Cozumel on March 2.

Rascal Flatts’ band member Joe Don Rooney said “It’s not even Christmas yet, but we are already looking forward to next spring when we make our first-ever appearance on a cruise ship,” said Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts.  “We will perform and meet fans aboard Norwegian Spirit as it’s docked in Cozumel, Mexico on March 2.  We hope you will join us!”

The band will perform in the ship’s Stardust theater at a ticket price of $50 per guest. They are also offering a VIP package for $150 which includes a private cocktail reception, meet and greet opportunity, and an autographed souvenir (maybe an 8×10 picture?).

The ship will call in Costa Maya, Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel, Mexico.

According to USA Today’s Cruise Log, prices for this sailing start at $549 per person with limited availability.
