Country music fans will soon have the chance to experience live performances while cruising the Caribbean, as Princess Cruises and the Academy of Country Music (ACM) launch the “ACM Live from the Red Barrel Lounge” concert series.
This limited-time event features performances by rising stars aboard Regal Princess on select sailings from Galveston, Texas, between February 9 and March 17, 2025.
The series includes intimate concerts in the Princess Theater, along with meet-and-greet sessions for fans to connect with the artists. Each sailing will feature one of six country performers:
- Drew Baldridge (Feb. 9–17): Known for heartfelt songs like “She’s Somebody’s Daughter,” Baldridge brings relatable lyrics and energy to his performances.
- Chapel Hart (Feb. 17–23): This trio, who gained national recognition on America’s Got Talent, delivers a fresh take on country with tracks like “You Can Have Him Jolene.”
- Hannah Ellis (Feb. 23–Mar. 3): Ellis, an ACM nominee, is known for her debut album That Girl and hits like “Country Can.”
- Tigirlily Gold (Mar. 3–9): This North Dakota duo climbed the charts with “I Tried A Ring On” and is celebrated for their high-energy performances.
- Kelsey Hart (Mar. 9–17): Hart’s breakout single “Life with You” has earned over 100 million streams, showcasing his growing popularity.
- Kameron Marlowe (Mar. 17–23): A standout on The Voice and a Gold-certified artist, Marlowe is known for songs like “Giving You Up.”
“This series offers an incredible opportunity for our guests to enjoy live country music in an intimate setting,” said Becky Thomson Foley, Head of Global Entertainment for Princess Cruises. “It’s a unique way to connect fans with rising stars while they’re exploring new destinations.”
The Regal Princess offers a wide range of activities and amenities, including comfortable staterooms, multiple dining options, a relaxing spa, and live entertainment. Its MedallionClass technology enhances the cruise experience with personalized service and convenience. Guests can also take advantage of packages like Princess Plus and Princess Premier, which include WiFi, beverages, and gratuities for added value.
The series pays homage to ACM’s roots, dating back to the 1960s when the Red Barrel Niteclub hosted early country music events that led to the creation of the ACM Awards. This partnership continues the tradition of celebrating country music and connecting fans with the genre.
