In a move designed to give guests more flexibility when it comes to their onboard options, Carnival Cruise Line is rolling out “Fun Packs.” While the four new bundles are only available for a limited time, Carnival also revealed that by year’s end, a whole new pricing plan will be in place where their drinks and wi-fi plans are concerned.
What Are Carnival Fun Packs?
The new packages are available from now until October 30 on all sailings departing between October 31 and December 31. Each of the four Fun Packs includes a variety of add-ons which, when bundled together, can offer significant savings. So what do each of the FunPacks include?
• Kidstarter FunPack
Priced at $25 per person, per day, this is exclusively available for guests between the ages of 3 and 17. It includes the Bottomless Bubbles package (including the service charge), Social wi-fi package, a complimentary lanyard, 50% off bulk candy at Cherry on Top and 1,000 tokens to be used in the arcade.
• Zero Proof FunPack
Priced at $50 per person per day, this FunPack includes the Cheers! Zero Proof package (service charge included), the Value wi-fi packages, a $50 shore excursion discount, and a $25 specialty dining discount.
• Social FunPack
Priced at $60 per person, per day, this FunBack offers a new Cheers! Social package (allowing three alcoholic beverages per day, as well as unlimited non-alcoholic beverages), the Premium wi-fi package, one shore excursion (valued up to $100), one specialty dining meal (valued up to $55), 50 percent off spa treatments, and a 50 percent discount at Dreams Photo Studio.
• Epic FunPack
Priced at $99 per person, per day, the largest bundle includes a full Cheers! package, Premium wi-fi, two shore excursions (valued at up to $100 each), two specialty dining meals (valued up to $55 each), 50 percent off spa treatments, a 50 percent discount at Dreams Photo Studio, one bottle of sparkling wine and one bag of wash-and-fold laundry.

How Cheers! Will Change In December
In addition, Carnival announced that beginning on December 1, they will introduce “dynamic pricing” for their beverage and Wi-Fi packages. What does this mean?
Carnival says that “pricing will vary based on sailing length, itinerary and season.” Full details on pricing has not yet been released. Currently, the Cheers! package costs $69.95 per person, per day if purchased in advance, and $74.95 per person, per day if purchased on board. These prices do not include the 20% mandatory service charge which is added at the time of purchase.
