The latest season of the ABC show “The Bachelorette” features a leading lady that is familiar with many cruise fans: Virgin Voyages’ latest ship Valiant Lady.
The upcoming episodes will feature romantic and adventurous dates both on board and during beautiful Mediterranean port calls with this season’s two bachelorettes Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey. The next episode of the show, which is currently in its 19th season, airs Monday, August 1 at 8/7c.
Valiant Lady is Virgin Voyages’ second ship, following Scarlet Lady which debuted in 2021. From thoughtful conversations over cocktails at On the Rocks to one-on-ones at Pink Agave, the ship’s modern and intimate spaces are the perfect setting for happenings on The Bachelorette.
Gabby and Rachel both stayed in the two massive Rockstar suites on board, which were designed by Tom Dixon. They feature an expansive outdoor deck, loungers, hot tubs, and showers with iridescent windows that look out over the sea. They also have glam stations and vinyl turntables for listening to music while getting ready.
The Manor — the ship’s signature nightclub that traces back to Richard Branson’s first Virgin music studio — makes a special appearance during one of the season’s most competitive dates, while Redemption Spa’s thermal suite and mud room doubles as a hideaway and hangout spot for the guys.
When not on dates, the men enjoy other spaces and activities on Valiant Lady including the outdoor daybeds of The Dock, playing air hockey at The Social Club, and kicking back at the Loose Cannon, reminiscent of British seaside bars.
“Rachel and Gabby couldn’t have a better wingwoman than Valiant Lady, and we’re thrilled to play a role in their journey to find the one,” said Virgin Voyages’ President Nirmal Saverimuttu.
“The Bachelorette has never been filmed on a luxury ocean cruise line before, and I think fans will be intrigued and realize that the incredible experience we offer on-board extends beyond the show. They too can embark on a luxurious and relaxing couple’s getaway or guys/girls trip and have an amazing time setting sail the Virgin way.”
Scarlet Lady currently sails from Miami, offering four and five-night trips to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Valiant Lady departs from Barcelona, Spain, operating seven-night cruises to coastal destinations in Spain, France, and Italy.
Virgin’s third ship, Resilient Lady, is scheduled to debut in May, offering seven-night cruises through the Greek Isles from Piraeus (the port for Athens).
