Princess Cruises announced that they’ll be raising gratuities effective December 15, 2016. Currently the rate is $12.95 per person, per day. In December, the rate jumps to $13.50 per guest per day.
According to the Princess Cruises website, the new prices are as follows:
- $15.50 per guest per day for suites
- $14.50 per guest per day for mini-suites and club class
- $13.50 per guest per day for interior, ocean-view or balcony stateroom
This will be the second time that Princess has raised gratuities over the past year. In January the cruise line raised them from $11.50 to $12.95.
The increase put Princess Cruises in line with Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean. Carnival Cruise Line is still $12.95 per person per day.
