Margaritaville at Sea Announces Unlimited Cruise Pass
How about an all you can cruise pass? One cruise line is doing it. Margaritaville at Sea has announced the Ultimate Paradise Pass, which allows guests to take unlimited cruises between Palm Beach and Freeport on its ship through the end of this year.
It costs $899 and includes the ability to bring along an additional guest for free, not including taxes and port fees.
To use the pass, the cruise must be booked between one to three days of departure, and it can only be used for oceanview or interior staterooms.
Keel Laid For Disney Treasure
Disney Cruise Line’s upcoming ship Disney Treasure has reached its next construction milestone as the keel was laid at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
A ceremony to celebrate the occasion also included the placing of a coin under the keel as a symbol of good fortune for the ship.
Disney Treasure is scheduled to debut in 2024. It’s the second of three new ships planned to launch through 2025, following Disney Wish which debuted last year.
CDC Investigating a Gastrointestinal Outbreak on Enchantment of the Seas
For the second week in a row, the CDC is investigating a gastrointestinal outbreak on Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas. Last week’s sailing impacted six percent of guests and crew, or 115 people out of just over 3,200.
For reference, the CDC defines an outbreak as three percent total people on board, including crew. Above three percent also requires reporting to the CDC.
The cruise line did enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures.
This was the eighth ship to report an outbreak of three percent or more the CDC this year.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the number one cause of norovirus spread is touching or eating in a place where utensils or food have been handled by someone with norovirus.
