Can you buy travel insurance for a hurricane?

Yes, you can buy travel insurance for hurricane-related disruptions, but it must be purchased before the National Hurricane Center officially names the storm. Once a hurricane is named, it’s considered a foreseeable event, and coverage will no longer apply to that storm.

Is it safe to cruise during hurricane season?

Yes, it’s generally safe to cruise during hurricane season, but flexibility is key. Cruise lines closely monitor storms and adjust itineraries to avoid dangerous weather, often switching ports or adding additional sea days. For added peace of mind, purchasing travel insurance and staying informed about weather updates can ensure a smoother experience.
