Princess Cruises has canceled a full season of sailings aboard Majestic Princess from Galveston, Texas, affecting voyages between November 2026 and March 2027.

The cruise line confirmed the change in a notice to booked guests, citing a shift in its “global fleet deployment strategy.” As of now, no replacement ship will sail from Galveston for Princess during that time.

Letter to Booked Guests

In a letter to booked guests, the line stated:

“Princess Cruises has made the difficult decision to cancel all sailings aboard Majestic Princess from Galveston scheduled between November 2026 and March 2027. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause our guests and appreciate their understanding as we work to enhance our global offerings.”

Impacted guests will receive full refunds and the option to rebook alternative cruises. Princess also said it is offering support to help guests find new itineraries, including other sailings from Galveston.

One guest posted on Facebook, “We booked this cruise over a year ago to celebrate a special anniversary. Now everything’s up in the air — and prices on other lines have already gone up. Ugh!!!”

The cancellation removes Majestic Princess from the Texas market just two years after Princess expanded its presence in Texas.

With Majestic Princess now pulled from the region, Princess will have no ships homeporting in Galveston beyond March 2026, when Regal Princess completes her final scheduled sailings.

Majestic Princess was initially built for the Chinese market in 2017 and intended to sail from Shanghai year-round, but it was redeployed to North America following the cruise industry shutdown.
