Three New Enhancements Coming to Carnival Cruise Ships in 2024

Aiming to elevate the guest experience further for 2024, Carnival Cruise Line is adding a series of new shipboard enhancements. Food will play a major role in upgrading the guest experience.

Carnival Jubilee will introduce the Carnival Culinary Center with a dedicated cooking class designed by Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse.

As part of the Carnival Kitchen program, guests can prepare a three-course meal from the chef’s recipes. Options include New-New Orleans Pasta, Shrimp & Okra Gumbo with FilĂ© and Strawberries Romanoff. Carnival Kitchen is also on Carnival Panorama, Mardi Gras, and Celebration.

There is a new Chef’s Table VIP culinary experience featuring an Executive chef-hosted multi-course dinner. It starts with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for a select group of 14 and incorporates new menus and wine selections. The experience includes a behind-the-scenes tour to see the galley in operation.

Advance booking of ‘Behind the Fun’ tours

A favorite with Carnival guests, the popular ‘Behind The Fun’ tours will be bookable in advance pre-cruise from January 1. It is currently only available to reserve when on the ship. This new service is being added to all ships in the fleet.

Guests will select the tour option as a homeport shore excursion, and the tours will take place on a Fun Day at Sea. There is also an adapted tour suitable for guests with disabilities.

New digital debark system via HUB App

The company recently announced a more seamless, tech-forward debarkation process. For most guests, the HUB App will play a key role, with the ability to schedule a debarkation time through the app.

This avoids guests having to physically pick up tags for their luggage. The number of bags placed outside the stateroom can also be logged in the app. Guests happy to carry their luggage off the ship can also use the app function to select a suitable time.

Guests with priority debarkation privileges, such as VIFP members and suite guests, will still receive their unique tags as usual, while any guests can opt not to use the app and retrieve their tags.

The new HUB app function is live on Carnival Conquest, Carnival Elation, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Dream, and Mardi Gras. The company is targeting a full fleet rollout by February.
