Norwegian Encore Will Receive a New Adults-Only Area, Expanded Dining, and More

Norwegian Encore will emerge from a drydock later this year with a host of new amenities plus new and expanded staterooms. It is part of a multimillion-dollar revamp to enhance the onboard guest experience, including expanding specialty dining venues. Some existing facilities will make way for the new updates.

Among the new features being added is an adults-only outdoor area, Spice H2O. It will house hot tubs, eight large day beds beside pools, and a large bar. The revamped design is inspired by elements from Spice H2O on Breakaway-Plus class ships and Prima-class ships’ Infinity Beach. It will ultimately replace the existing laser tag arena.

Existing dining venues Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki will be expanded with more capacity by taking over Lobos on Deck 8 and Coco’s on Deck 6. Ocean Blue will transformed into the Mediterranean-inspired Palomar.

“Guests’ needs are at the forefront of every decision and enhancing Norwegian Encore with more of the experiences they value showcases just that,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Norwegian Encore will be fitted with an additional 24 new balcony staterooms plus two club balcony staterooms. This is possible by using part of Encore’s Observation Lounge. Additionally, the two Premier Owner’s Suites with Large Balcony in The Haven will be expanded.

They will get a third bedroom, the living area will be fully refurbished, and a separate dining space will be added. The dry dock period for the Encore is slated from November 18 to December 2, 2024. Following completion, it will depart on a 12-day transatlantic crossing from Southampton, UK, to Miami.

Encore will offer seven-day Caribbean cruises through March 2025, calling at Puerto Plata, Tortola, St. Thomas, and Great Stirrup Cay.
