Norwegian’s New Ships Will Have Upgraded Spa and Gaming Areas

Norwegian Cruise Line announced that its upcoming vessels, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, will feature significant upgrades in its gaming area and spa.

Classic games like mini-golf and darts will become more interactive, while the Mandara Spa and Salon will offer new services like thalassotherapy loungers and IV drip therapy.

Timeless Games With Modern Twists

A vibrant indoor entertainment center featuring a single bowling lane with neon lights and arcade games on the sides, reminiscent of the lively atmosphere on Norwegian ships. The ceiling boasts colorful geometric lighting, while a large screen displays "Strike Power Score.

The familiar Galaxy Pavilion will become the Aqua and Luna Game Zone, reimagined with new activities and virtual reality adventures for guests of all ages. 

  • Beat Hero will encourage guests to show off their dance moves while keeping up with the music. 
  • The venue will also be home to retro arcade games like Down the Clown, Ms. Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong.
  • Meanwhile, The Bull’s Eye Bar will expand the concept of classic darts into an innovative full-service bar. Those who enjoy the sport can take shots with an expertly crafted cocktail. The game has been enhanced with more virtual reality and interactive elements, including a simpler automated scoring system, a video-game-style dartboard, and more difficulty settings from beginners to advanced.
  • Tee Time, the interactive mini-golf game, is returning with the new Prima-class vessels. This time, the course will be twice as big, with 12 holes spanning two decks.
  • The ever-popular Pickleball Court will return with its dedicated area outside The Stadium.

Spa Gets New Look and Services

A modern indoor space aboard one of Norwegian's ships features a blue lit water installation with cascading water walls. Large marble structures and archways create an elegant and serene atmosphere, reminiscent of an upgraded spa.

Once guests get tired of playing, they can visit the revitalized Mandara Spa and Salon which will be redesigned and offer new services. 

  • Mandara will receive a new clay sauna to detoxify the body and exfoliate the skin.
  • Thalassotherapy loungers will melt away tension, encourage relaxation, and improve circulation.
  • IV drip therapy will allow guests to improve hydration levels while receiving essential nutrients, boosting their immunity, energy levels, and overall well-being.
  • The Thermal Suite will have twice as many heated loungers than Norwegian Viva and Norwegian Prima. 
  • Passengers can also explore the floatation salt pool, salt room, ice room, and charcoal sauna for an instant detox.

Mandara Spa’s upcoming Norwegian Aqua and Luna branches will feature the facility’s two-story indoor waterfall and grand marble staircase.

Additionally, the Pulse Fitness Center will boast an updated aesthetic, modern workout equipment, a spin studio, and a wide variety of exercise classes.

Norwegian Aqua is being built at Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard. By April 2025, it will embark on seven-day Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral.

Norwegian Luna, a sister vessel, is scheduled to join Aqua at the Florida port in April 2026. Both cruise ships will have the Aqua Slidecoaster, a complimentary ride that combines a rollercoaster with a waterslide.
