The Ritz-Carlton’s First Cruise Ship Finally Sets Sail

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first vessel has finally set sail. Evrima departed Barcelona, Spain over the weekend, setting off on a voyage that will end in Nice, France.

“We are thrilled to introduce The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and usher in an exciting new chapter for this beloved brand,” said Chris Gabaldon, Senior Vice President for Luxury Brands, Marriott International. “The Ritz-Carlton has long been rooted in innovation and service excellence, guided by a commitment to be at the forefront of delivering transformative travel experiences. As we continue to evolve our legendary brand, we could not be more excited to give our guests the opportunity to experience The Ritz-Carlton in a new way.”

Most voyages will range from seven to 10 nights, visiting both intimate and common ports of call. According to the line, no two journeys will be alike, meaning passengers can combine itineraries without repeating a destination.

Depending on the season, Evrima will visit the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Central America, and South America. Destinations along the way will range from Spain’s Balearic Islands and havens along the French Riviera to the blue shores of Aruba and tropical coastlines of Costa Rica. The small size of the vessel also allows for yacht-style cruising to destinations such as Mykonos, Saint-Tropez, and St. Barts.

Evrima measures 623 feet long and can accommodate up to 298 guests. The yacht features a high percentage of large suites, including several two-story loft suites. All accommodations include a private terrance and floor-to-ceiling windows. Select suites can also be combined into larger, open-concept spaces with blind walls.

Activities and amenities on the yacht include watersports from the marina while at anchor, an infinity pool, a sauna and steam room, and a fitness studio. Dining options include sit-down sushi bar Talaat Nam, locally-inspired creations at The Evrima Room, and a specialty dining experience in S.E.A.

Kids sailing with their families can enjoy Ritz Kids programming, which features an emphasis on marine conservation.

The Shore Collection, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s lineup of shore excursions, range from guided tours of world-class museums with their curators and visiting a UNESCO World Heritage site to yoga on a private beach, zip-lining through a rainforest, and truffle hunting.

On select sailings, guests can take an overnight tour mid-voyage before rejoining the yacht at its next destination.
