The second location in the Perfect Day collection will be about twice the size of the original Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Located on Mexico’s Caribbean coast in Mahahual, it will be a featured stop on Western Caribbean cruise itineraries departing Royal Caribbean’s Florida homeports and the Gulf ports of New Orleans and Galveston.

The 200-acre destination will have up to seven individual-themed zones.

Perfect Day Mexico will “feel both familiar and new” for guests, says Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer, replicating some elements from Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Arriving ship guests will be welcomed at Fiesta Plaza with music and dancing,

The Splash Cove will have a 100,000-square-foot pool plus child-friendly water slides. Loco Water Park will be home to the destination’s adrenaline water slides. Subject to an additional fee, it will have more than 30 slides in five slide towers. The tallest, Jaguar Peak, will have a total of 10 slides.

The lazy river will run around Loco Waterpark and the family-friendly Splash Cove, featuring several entry and exit points.

They will have restaurants, bars and loungers.

“Families are looking for experiences together and that’s something that we at Royal Caribbean have really focused on.”

Overall, Perfect Day Mexico will have a dozen different dining options and more than 20 bars. El Hideaway is the adults only section which will have areas to either party with pool DJ sets and a live music stage, or relax.

El Hideaway will also house ‘Ultimate Party Cabanas’ accommodating up to 20 guests together.

Another themed zone revealed is the Costa Beach Club, which will offer an extra fee premium beach club experience.

Royal Caribbean says there will be cruise itineraries that call at both private destinations when Perfect Day Mexico opens in September 2027.
