Cruise Line Offers Unlimited Cruising With All-You-Can-Sail Pass

Margaritaville at Sea has launched two Unlimited Cruise Passes, the Silver Paradise Pass (from $799) and Ultimate Gold Pass (from $1,499), for unlimited non-consecutive sailings through December 2026 aboard its Islander and Paradise ships.

The Silver Pass covers 2- and 3-night cruises, includes perks like $25 casino match play and 5% onboard discounts. The Gold Pass extends access to up to 7-night voyages, offers $50 match play, deeper discounts, and a one-time Express Pass option.

Minor Flooding, Elevator Damage After Carnival

On August 20, the Carnival Panorama encountered heavy wind and rain in the Gulf of California, causing a brief 30-second list that led to minor flooding and elevator outages.

The ship sustained minor interior damage, including broken glass, water in the lobby, and elevator banks. Nine guests were treated onboard and two were referred to the hospital, but services continued without major interruption. The vessel resumed its itinerary with stops in La Paz and Cabo San Lucas.

Two Carnival Cruise Passengers Arrested for $18K Scam at PortMiami

At the end of their cruise, Rogerio da Cunha Fernandes and Aida Parada la Paz were arrested at PortMiami for allegedly funding their vacation through a fraud scheme involving altered bank cards and gift voucher purchases totaling about $18,000.

A third person was also arrested. Customs and Border Protection agents seized the fraudulent cards and vouchers. All face charges of grand theft and operating an organized defrauding scheme.

David Herrera Steps Down as Norwegian Cruise Line President

David J. Herrera resigned as president of Norwegian Cruise Line effective August 20, 2025, after just over two years in the role. Harry Sommer, NCLH’s president and CEO, will take over temporarily during the search for a successor.

Herrera oversaw key launches including Norwegian Viva (2023), Aqua (2025), and preparations for Luna (2026), along with renovations and a major expansion at Great Stirrup Cay.

Late-Night Brawl Disrupts Final Night of Carnival Cruise

Early Monday morning, around 2 a.m., a fight broke out among roughly 20 passengers on the lido deck buffet of a Carnival ship returning to Miami.

Passengers were seen punching and tackling each other, with one woman captured yelling, “Where the *** is security?”

Carnival has a strict no-fighting policy, but there has been no statement yet on discipline or follow-up.

Disabled Small Boat Narrowly Avoids Collision with Cruise Ship

A disabled vessel drifted into the path of a cruise ship, narrowly avoiding a collision thanks to swift action by the ship’s bridge team.

The small craft was safely brought under control, and no injuries were reported. The cruise ship continued its itinerary without delay after ensuring the smaller boat received assistance.
