When Every Carnival Ship Will Get Decorated
There’s nothing like sailing on a cruise ship that’s fully decked-out for the holiday season. On Carnival ships, that means Christmas trees, strings of lights, hand-tied bows and more. Each ship also has a special Menorah-lighting ceremony each night during the Hanukkah season.
As John Heald recently explained on his Facebook page, the decorating is done not by members of the crew, but by what he dubbed “Professional Christmas Decorators.”
He added that the ships will also feature a Christmas show, carol’s being sung in the atrium and, of course, visits from a certain red-wearing, beard-sporting guy who is beloved by children and tends to bring lots of presents.

It’s worth noting that the schedule has been updated to reflect a change caused when would-be Carnival Panorama passengers complained that the holiday transformation would not be in place for the inaugural cruise, which happens in early December. Now, that ship will indeed be decked out in time for her first sailing on December 11th.
