Fast-growing sport pickleball now has a place on Carnival Cruise Line, as the brand has debuted its first pickleball court aboard Carnival Conquest.
The ship’s team members were the first to test out the new sports court, which was added during a recent dry dock. The court is located on the ship’s top deck, so pickleball players can enjoy their favorite game and take in the ocean views at the same time.

Pickleball is a two or four-person sport where players hit a perforated hollow ball over a net using solid-faced paddles, essentially combining tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. The game has been around for decades, but has recently seen major popularity across the United States and elsewhere.

While Carnival Conquest is the first Carnival ship to feature a permanent pickleball court, the game can be played on several other vessels in the fleet as well — with equipment recently added to most ships that have basketball courts, where the game can be played.

Pickleball joins several other popular activities in Carnival SportSquare, which includes facilities for games like mini golf, volleyball, and basketball.
Carnival Conquest sails from PortMiami year-round offering a range of itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean destinations.
