Celebrity Cruises has canceled Celebrity Infinity‘s 2022 Mediterranean cruise season. The ship will now be redeployed to sail Caribbean voyages this summer and fall.
The now-canceled season was scheduled to run from April 15, 2022, through November 28, 2022.
Guests who were booked on the ship’s Mediterranean cruises have two options. They can lift and shift their booking to another Mediterranean voyage on Celebrity Edge, Constellation, or Reflection. This option is available from now through February 3.
Guests booked on Infinity‘s transatlantic voyage may only lift and shift their booking to another transatlantic cruise.
The other option is to request a 100 percent refund. Those who don’t rebook by February 3 will automatically default to this option and will be returned within 30 days.
Those who booked using a future cruise credit will automatically receive the credit back in their account.
Celebrity Infinity debuted in 2001, and comes in at 91,000 gross registered tons.
Dining onboard includes Tuscan Grille Italian specialty restaurant, Sushi on Five, The Spa Café, Oceanview Café buffet, the poolside Mast Grill, and the main dining room.
The ship also features the Le Petit Chef dining experience, which uses projection mapping to show 3D animations on the table and plates that interact with the dishes that guests are served.
Bars and lounges onboard include the European-inspired Café al Bacio & Gelateria, Cellar Masters wine bar, Sunset Bar with expansive ocean views, and the Martini Bar & Crush.
Earlier this week Celebrity canceled four voyages on Celebrity Eclipse from Los Angeles. Eclipse was originally supposed to restart from the west coast in late March.
The vessel will now resume from Vancouver in late April, starting with two 10-night Hawaii voyages, followed by kicking off the 2022 Alaska cruise season.
