Celebrity Beyond Arrives in Southampton, England

Celebrity Beyond arrived in Southampton, England this morning as she prepares for her maiden voyage on April 27. The vessel is Celebrity Cruises’ third Edge-class ship following sister ships Celebrity Edge and Apex, which debuted in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

Beyond will spend her inaugural season sailing in the Mediterranean before heading to Port Everglades this fall to operate mostly seven-night Caribbean cruises.

A fourth Edge-class ship, Celebrity Ascent, is scheduled to launch in 2023.

MSC Details 2024 World Cruise

MSC Cruises has announced its 2024 World Cruise, which opened for bookings on Wednesday.

MSC Poesia will offer four departure ports in the Mediterranean in January 2024, sailing to regions including Africa, South America, the Caribbean, and Northern Europe. In total the sailing will visit 52 destinations in 31 countries, with highlights including the journey up the Amazon River, South Africa, Reykjavík, Brazil, and Seychelles.

The cruise fare will include 15 shore excursions, a Dine & Drink package, and a laundry discount.

Former Bitcoin Cruise Ship Sets Sail With New Line

The former Bitcoin cruise ship Satoshi is officially sailing again.

In 2021, Ocean Builders — which intended to use the vessel as a floating residence before scrapping the project — sold Satoshi to startup Ambassador Cruise Line. Ambassador renamed the vessel Ambiance, and renovated it to become its first cruise ship.

On Wednesday, Ambiance departed on her maiden voyage under the Ambassador brand. She will spend her maiden season sailing from London to various destinations in northern Europe.

Ambiance was originally built in 1991 as Regal Princess for Princess Cruises, and also sailed as Pacific Dawn for P&O Cruises Australia.
