Carnival Sails From Dover For First Time Since 2013

For the first time in nearly a decade, Carnival Cruise Line sailed from Dover, England on Friday. Carnival Pride departed on a nine-night Norwegian Fjord cruise with multiple stops along Norway’s western coast.

Pride is scheduled for nine departures from Dover this season with sailings ranging from nine to 12 nights.

The last time Carnival sailed from Dover was in 2013. Pride will return to Florida sailing western Caribbean voyages in November.

Holland America Completes Restart as Westerdam Returns to service

Holland America Line’s final ship returned to service over the weekend from Seattle. With ms Westerdam returning, this puts all 11 of the lines ships back into service.

Westerdam will spend the summer sailing seven-night voyages to Alaska from the northwest.

The ship spent the entire cruise industry shutdown in layup in California and Mexico. During the shutdown, the line sold four ships, Amsterdam, Maasdam, Rotterdam VI, and Veendam.

Star Pride is Back in Service After a Major Renovation

After cutting the ship in half and adding a large middle section, Windstar Cruises’ ship Star Pride is back in service.

During the $250 million renovation, the ship’s capacity increased by 100 passengers, they did this by adding suites, new dining venues, a spa, and some enhancements below deck.

Star Pride will sail Europe through the summer before heading to Boston in September.

Windstar Cruises has six ships in total.
