Carnival Venezia Arrives USA
Welcome to the US.
Carnival Venezia arrived in NYC this morning following a 15-day transatlantic crossing that originated in Barcelona late last month.
The ship will be christened by Carnival’s first-ever Godfather, Jay Leno, tomorrow before it embarks on guests for its very first cruise from the big apple.
From NYC, the ship will sail to Bermuda, Canada/NE, and longer voyages to the Caribbean.
Next year Venezia will reposition to Central Florida for a season before returning to Manhattan.
New Terminal for Spain
Construction has begun on a new $6m cruise terminal to prepare Tarragona Cruise Port (just south of Barcelona) for future growth.
The terminal is strategically positioned with access to excursion opportunities in the Mediterranean city of Barcelona and offers cruises through various parts of Spain’s Catalonia region.
The environmentally sustainable terminal, scheduled to open in spring 2024, will utilize renewable energy, provide security measures, accessible spaces for guests with reduced mobility, and the potential for expansion to allow for future growth requirements.
The project is predicted to attract more cruise lines and provide a boost to Spain’s tourism economy in the future.
