Carnival Paradise to Receive Guy’s Burger Joint, New Waterpark

Carnival Paradise is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar, month-long refurbishment in Freeport, Bahamas. It will receive a water park, new cabins, and some of Carnival’s most popular dining venues. Following the renovation, the ship will resume its year-round schedule of four to eight-day cruises from Tampa on March 26, 2018.

New Food/Drink Offerings

At last, Carnival Paradise will be receiving perhaps the most popular eatery across the Carnival fleet: Guy’s Burger Joint. The complimentary poolside venue was developed with Food Network star Guy Fieri and serves hand-crafted burgers and fresh-cut fries. The décor celebrates the chef’s California roots and love of car culture.

Tequila and rum lovers will also be happy to see that Paradise will be emerging with both the RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar. The RedFrog Rum Bar is a poolside Caribbean-themed watering hole offering up rum-based frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s own ThirstyFrog Red. BlueIguana Tequila Bar is a laid-back Mexican themed venue that serves up tequila-based frozen drinks and beers.

The ship will also have everyone’s favorite burrito and taco stop, BlueIguana Cantina. This poolside Mexican eatery has authentic freshly made burritos both at breakfast and lunchtime, as well as tacos on homemade tortillas and an extensive toppings and salsa bar.

Other Additions

Carnival Paradise will also be receiving a revamped kid’s area and program, called Camp Ocean. The colorful marine-inspired space was designed for kids ages 2-11 and showcases the wonders of the sea through fun interiors and over 200 ocean-themed activities like crafts, science-oriented programming, and more.

Thirty-eight cabins have been added to the ship – two Grand Vista suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, 22 junior suites, two scenic oceanview cabins, and 12 interior staterooms. Additionally, private balconies have been added to 98 existing cabins. All staterooms will feature new island-inspired interiors with bright colors and pastels inspired by Paradise‘s tropical itineraries.

The thrilling WaterWorks aqua park will be heading to the ship as well, and feature an enclosed 300-foot-long Twister water slide, two 82-foot-long racing slides, and a splash zone for the little ones. Also, the nine-hole mini golf course has been relocated to the ship’s 14th deck.

Carnival Paradise‘s retail shops have been reimagined with a new design and additional product offerings, including brands Pandora and Guess. The Cherry on Top sweets shop is also being added, and the printed photo gallery is being replaced with the digital Pixels-branded platform where guests can purchase images via their smartphones or a kiosk.

Itinerary Details

Carnival Paradise‘s Tampa-based schedule includes four-day cruises to Cozumel and five-day voyages to Cozumel or Mahogany Bay, Grand Cayman, or Key West. The ship also sails to Cuba with four-day cruises visiting Havana, five-day voyages calling in Havana and Cozumel or Key West, and eight-day voyages to Havana, Key West, and Grand Cayman.
